LulzBot Shows You How to Polish Metallic 3D Prints

LulzBot posted a new tutorial for the successful polishing of parts 3D printed using metal-infused filaments. The highly detailed polishing guide offers users a breakdown of what types of equipment and tools will be needed for each of the three polishing methods, and includes pros and cons lists to help you decide which is the best method for the job. The tutorial covers how to use sandpaper or files to hand polish parts, the best way to use a rock tumbler or vibratory polisher and how to use hand-held rotary tools. You can read more about this polishing guide over on 3DPrint.com: http://3dprint.com/117561/lulzbot-po...etallic-parts/

    looks good.

But the best option is to use reprappertech metallic filaments that look polished without polishing :-)

Having tried bronzefill and various finishing techniques. and then tried the reprapper filaments which don't need any post processing - fussy buggers might want to sand the printing lines.
There's no contest, use the one that looks like metal without messing about.
