FlashForge Creator Pro. New To Printing, Need Help With Rafts

So I am using a Flashforge Creator Pro and the software I am using is ReplicatorG. I'm having trouble with the concept of rafts. I always see videos of people removing rafts and they can just peel them right off no problem. When I print, however, the raft is completely stuck to the object, forcing me to use sandpaper to get it off. Are there some settings I can change so that it is easy to remove? Thanks. (Remember I'm very new to this so if I described something incorrectly I apologize)

    Can you upload a photo?

Don't be confused between rafts and brims. A brim is more likely to stick to your print but a raft is like a brim but has thin infill lines separating the print onto the bed and your actual print.

Not familure with RepG all that much. If you don't get satisfactory results, you may want to take a look at Simplify3D. It has very good support/raft/brim functions.
