Get Your Own Miniature MegaBot 3D Printed Robot

3D printing is being used to help Megabots, Inc. is trying to raise $500,000 in its Kickstarter campaign to upgrade the giant combat robot -- Mk.II. This robot is 12,000 pounds heavy, 15 feet tall and can shoot cannonball-sized paint balls at 120 MPH. But that's not all. Megabots challenged Japan's Suidobashi Heavy Industries, the creators of the world's first giant combat robot, to a duel. Suidobashi responded, but added that it wants the robots fighting hand to hand combat. This gives Megabots one year for its modifications. If you can donate $150 to the Kickstarter campaign, you can receive a 3D printed mini replica of this giant robot that is making robotics history! Giant robots fighting !

Could be interesting - or it could be like a really rubbish fight on robot wars.

Remember MegaBots? The California-based company raised over $500,000 last year in a Kickstarter to upgrade a giant robot and make it battle-ready for a duel against a Japanese robot of the same stature. That battle will take place later this year, but in the meantime, battle robot Mk.II will show off its capabilities in the first-ever drones vs. robots race tomorrow at CES 2016. Get out the 3D printed mini-robot you'll have received if you supported the Kickstarter and be ready to cheer on your favorite massive fighting robot, which is also competing for an investment from Sir Richard Branson at CES this evening.
