I spoke to someone who is an electronics engineer and works in the audio field and he says that theoretically the idea is sound. I would imagine a lot of improvements can be made in the software side and the resin used itself. The thing I question is the cost and availability of the resin internationally compared to the cost of standard filament. I've been watching this on kickstarter and indiegogo with interest because if it works it's rather a novel approach.

Maybe not this printer yet, but some resin printers give pretty good results?

Are their any market research reports on the future prices of Resins? If Resin demand picks up there should be suppliers sprouting up, creating competition and thus driving the prices down. I have never really worked with resin printers. The current prices turn me off..
