Makerbot Mini and scale mismatch
Hi.
This is my first 3d printer. Actually my second. I took the first Makerbot Mini back as defective (Probably a bad extractor)
I have been doing 3D design using Newtek's Lightwave 3D for about 14 years. Now that I can print I discover a scaling mismatch. I am not sure if it is with my modeling software or with the printer.
For example if I want to print a 3cm ruler then I need to model it in my software to be 3m.
If I model something 2cm in my software package then I'd expect it to be 2cm in Makerbot but when I load the .svt file in Makerbot it is microscopic and I get the popup option to rescale because it's too tiny.
I looked but I couldn't find any rescaling options
Doing the rescale calculations is easy enough but I'd rather not have to do it.
These are my work steps:
1. Model it in LightWave
2. Export as .svt file
3. Load file in the Makerbot software
4. Print.
Any thoughts?
