the make and age of the filament. The make is makerbot PLA. The age i would think a year or two old

Ok, so you still haven't put all the settings up, and the attachment link seems to be broken. BUT I think you should get some fresh filament before doing anything else. I noticed that your filament diameter is 1.77 in your settings, did you measure the actual filament at 1.77? (I use Hatchbox and have never ever seen my diameter that far out from 1.75)
