Impossible to print in 3D?
Hello everyone,
I'd like to print small flexible components for prototyping and I don't know if the actual technologies can make it possible.
It's composed of cones with base diameter 0.31mm and min length of 1.64mm, while still being flexible.
Do you think it's possible to 3d print it?

That's very small, possibly too small for an FDM printer. I don't know if other processes can do flexible material.
What are the cones for? There may be a lateral thinking solution...

In FDM its a tad small. With resin printers... maybe ? What's the required tolerance on the dimensions ?
If you have many to do, casting them might be easier, in that case I'd suggest 3D printing the molds and then using silicon for casting.

envisionTEC's ABS Flex material sounds applicable. You'll need to ask them or comb through their site to see if all their stereolithography printers can use it.

Best I can tell, each of their series are subdivided into models that are configured to maximize size or maximize resolution. Most of them will easily do X-Y resolution in the 30 micron range -- that's 0.030mm. Piece of cake for a 0.31 x 1.64mm object.
Printer will print perfect...
