Expiry Date?
Hi guys,
I have a few rolls of SKARtech ABS 1.75mm and on the label there is a "manufactured" date and a "best before" date. What happens after that date when printing with expired prints?
Thanks in advance

LOL ! My guess is that the same will happen to filament that happens to anything else bio-degradable.
It will depend on how well it was protected , ( sealed with desiccant , temp-control, etc.)
during it's life, as too how long it will really be Useable.
Even fresh-fruit and vegetables don't last Forever ! LOL

I understand what you are saying, but the Manufacture Date is 29/9/2015 and Best Before is 30/01/2016. That's only like 3 months. I was hoping it would last longer so I can buy rolls and keep them, build up a range of colors

Well, don't you see it's their tactic to make you buy from them as much as possible?

My Stratasys ABS is manufactured in 2010 and works flawlessly whatever printer I use them in.

It is ABS, so at least five to ten years shelf life I guess. Just keep it sealed in a dry environment.

Ignore those dates, it mainly depends on how well you store them,
and how well they were protected before you purchased them
, as to how long they will really be usable, which should be years, Not months .
How they were Made is the biggest factor as to how long they will last.

I have my ABS stored in vacuum sealed bags with silica beads in the bags and kept out of the sun. Trying to keep as much moisture out of them as possible.

I've got rolls I've been using on and off for 12 months. Some I get round to keeping in plastic bags with silicon sachets. Some just sit on the shelf, naked.
yet to see any difference between any of them.
