Large spiral vase
This large vase printed in 34 hours 12 minutes with a layer height of 0.200mm. I sliced it with Simplify3D and had no problems with printing other than a fair number of hairs. I used a hair dryer and a little sandpaper to get rid of these .

I have done a number of experiments involving retract length, retract speed, Z-lift, and varying temperature, and it seems that it is just not possible to eliminate hairs with a Bowden-tube style printer.
You can get the STL File for this part here:

any chance of the actual dimensions ?
Just saying 'large' doesn't really help :-)
34 hours is a really long time for a print that's mostly gaps - what speed did you print it at ?
Also if you link through facebook to thingiverse - all we get by clicking on the link is a defunct facebook page :-)

Dimensions are approx. 260 mm high x 170 mm wide.
Print speed = 55 mm/sec
The Thingiverse link works fine for me - but then I have a Facebook account. Apparently I was logged in to FB when I created the original post and it seems that the actual link pointer got changed to this:
http://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3...Sh6YmKg7bQ&s=1
I have no idea how or why that happened, or why the link looks like it does in my original post. I'll go back and edit the post and replace the link with the legitimate one. Thanks for pointing this out.

Probably not much use as a vase per se : I can see a few opportunities for leaks ! ;-)
But a real nice print indeed.
