Italian design studio Eurocompositi is developing a 3D printable bike frame that they suggest will be just as durable as a traditionally manufactured frame. The Aenimal Bhulk frame is 3D printed in PLA and the durability is due to advanced parametric 3D modeling software and generative algorithms which generate an extremely strong shape. The innovative design has just won a 2015 Eurobike Award, which is a very prestigious bike industry award. You can read more about the Bhulk frame over on 3DPrint.com.
