3D printing silica gel mold with desktop printer
Hi everyone~
This few days i printed a simple mold with my printer,now i show everyone how it is realized.
1.I want to make a screwdriver handle , so i built a 3D mold model with 3DMAX.

2.Put the files in the silcer.

3.Finshed print and fixed the mold(print by ABS material with mankati XT Plus)

4.Put the liquid filled plastic into the mold waiting for solidification.

5.Use the hair dryer blow ten minutes and finshed~

This is quite a great application of 3D print, it extend the material limitation !!

could probably have just printed the handle with polyflex or ninjaflex etc and skipped the whole mould aspect.
Moulds are fun though :-)
