Lots of reasons. Its obviously meant as a man-cave sort of decoration. Its obviously not complete as its hanging on a wall.

As for 3D printing it... fake ones run $300-$600. True originals are thousands and US made extremely rare. Most of the originals out there are russian and jap surplus. Very few of the US helmets are still out in the wild.
