For any personal, complex modeling I use the ProE license at work. Otherwise I use DesignSpark Mechanical. I'm teaching myself how to use Blender for more organic looking items. Blender is great for touching up .stl files if need be.

Used solidworks for both job-related 3d printing and personal 3d printing. Currently using Creo 2.0 at work, but I definitely prefer using solidworks.
