Finland-based company Fimatec is looking to transform the construction industry via a robotic and 3D printing system which they hope commences work late next year. The system is able to print large walls for modular apartment buildings including the interior, exterior, insulation and any reinforcements. In doing so, the CEO of the company Arto Koivuharju believes that they could shave 10-20% off of construction costs while also building apartments 70-80% faster than traditional manufacturing methods can. He is currently looking for investors so that he can begin further development of his system.
