How can i print a test line around objects?
Hi guys, I recently bought my first 3d printer. is a cubify 2nd gen by 3dsystems.
i need print little projects so this printer works perfect to me but have a little issue, when i start to print a file
when the extruder get hot and melt some plastic, a thin line of plastic goes out extruder and then stop flowing, go for start point and start printing without plastic until for about 2 seconds and then flowing normal, on big objects it not a big deal, but on tiny objects can't get good quality because doesn't print well the first round
My question is how can i set printer to print a line around before printing the object?. something like this image i found on internet
thanks

what slicer are you using ? - ie: the program that takes the stl file and gets it ready to go to the printer.
you need to look for the option to print a skirt.

hi, thank you for the tip. i was searching for the definition of that line.
i use cube software, cubify printer only prints .cube file format.
so i need to import .stl files and convert to .cube
program doesnt have that option
so i think the solution was import another object like a thin circle

probably best with a thin line which would be easier to move around the build plate and place next to the actual model.
Also less likely to get in the way when printing the actual model.
Qidi X Plus 3 Paper thin first...
