If I had a $50k+ to drop on a professional printer, it would be an ObJet model of one kind or another. Nothing else in the top-tier professional price range has been close to their quality and flexibility. Adding a full color palette to that just puts it even more into the lead in that sense. The one thing missing from this article is the printer's price, which will probably be in the $100k to $200k range, putting it outside the budget of even the average mid-sized business.

Actually the article was updated. $330,000 for this thing. Here's another image of a print:

Very awesome looking printer. Does anyone know if this can print in metal at all? They say you can use 3 base materials at once. Are there only 3 possible base materials?

Nope, no metal.
And they have a considerable array of materials available, of which you can use three at once.

No Metal, but still an awesome printer. Here is a photo from Solidworks 2014 from Stratasys of some of the cool printouts.

They say 3 materials. What 3? It seems like all the printouts are made from PLA. Do they simply mean 3 different colors, or are there 3 different materials that work with this printer? If so, what are they?
