ABS Print Shredding after a few layers
Hi Everybody
I am having trouble with my 3D print. The first few layers are fine they look great after a while about 10-25% in to the print the layers start curling. It up looks like hair on the top layer and then the nozzle bums in to it and gets clogged. I will take a few photos and upload them soon with the next try.
I have a Duplicator 4S
Printing in ABS white or black at 220 - 230 degrees. at normal speed.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Is the machine calibrated? How many prints have you done on the machine?
It may be in need of calibration & getting the nozzle cleaned a bit.

Hi raysspl
I have cleaned the nozzles and replaced them with new nozzels. And I have calibrated them and leveled the bed. The weird thing is that the forst layers have no problems they are perfect.
I have done about 166 hours of printing. I have added a few photos so you can see what it looks like.

No photos.
I once saw someone who had a similar creeping problem. He had a Z height calibration issue so his first layers were not great. He decided to correct this with the extrusion multiplier. So, his first layers were great once again but unfortunately, after a few layers the situation would degrade again due to over extrusion.
Would this describe your issue ?
Edit : OK, now I see the photos. Definitely not it.

No it does not seem that it is my issue. I cannot print anything at the moment. Very frustrating.
Whould a firmware update help to repair this?
Printer will print perfect...
