RS Components Adds SCANIFY Handheld Scanner To there Offerings
RS Components have added the SCANIFY handheld scanner from Fuel3D to their range of desktop systems for 3D digitizing and printing. SCANIFY uses a combination of stereoscopy and photometry to create high-resolution digital models which include 8-bit, RGB color data. The handheld scanners work by the user placing an optical tracking target on the object as a reference for movement correction, and then a single-click captures all the images necessary to create the model. You can read the whole story here: http://3dprint.com/61755/rs-components-scanify-scanners
Below is a look at the SCANIFY product set:

Ah yes rs components - heaviest catalogue I ever got sent.
They're selling the scanify setup for £825 (finally got the online catalogue to work)
Huge range of goods - but one of those companies where you could buy a cable for 50 p and then get charged £7.99 postage.
