MakerBot's Smart Ink Extruder is here....
Love it or hate it, MakerBot's Smart Extruder has drummed up a lot of press since its launch. Murray Clark, of New Zealand, hasn't had any problems with his Smart Extruder, and recently designed his "Ink Extruder," a ballpoint pen based on the design of the Smart Extruder. Modeled after both the Smart Extruder and a standard Bic Click Pen, Clark designed his files using Rhino3D and printed several iterations using his own Smart Extruder on his MakerBot Replicator 2 and MakerBot 5th Generation Replicator. Clark has made his files available on Thingiverse. Read more about his design and process in the full article: http://3dprint.com/56439/ink-extruder/

Probably not in right place, I'm so desperate to find an answer .
We just bought a brand new Makerbot Desktop 5th Gen printer, but every time
it get stuck at "HOMING". Homing error shows up every time.
I think the problem is the build plate can not move vertically (z axis), the motor
try to rotate the, probably, a worm gear, but it can't. The entire back side of the printer shakes and comes to
a stop.
Is this an 'unpacking' error? Two plastic supports for build plate are removed. Are there more obstructions
to the vertical movement?
Anyone, please help.
