Your Own 3D Metal Printing RepRap for $1100!?
According to this open source project, you can build a RepRap that prints in Metal for only $1100. Anyone have more details on this? The Open source page which explains how to build one can be found at: http://www.appropedia.org/Open-source_metal_3-D_printer
This is the printer you probably heard about about a month ago from Michigan Technological University.
I want one!
Also the thingiverse for this printer is here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:197025/#comments

I've heard a lot about this. Unfortunately I don't have the know-how to actually build one myself. After looking at that appropedia page, I'm left very confused. Are people actually building these with good results?

Has anyone out there actually built this yet and can provide bit of feedback on how it works?
