Argh! Edison wasn't the "first to bring the light bulb in to reality". Swan in the UK had a commercial long life light bulb on the market a year before Edison. What's more, Edison only succeeded when he copied Swan's UK patent.

After going at it in the courts for a while they finally joined forces to form the Edison-Swan Electric Lighting Company. After a while Swan got bored of the business and left. Immediately Edison set about re-writing history to create a false legacy as the inventor of the lightbulb.
