3D Printing Flexible Objects With Rigid Materials
Flexibility is key to some 3D printed objects, which need to allow for movement and, for wearables, comfort. The material used, however, does not actually need to be flexible itself -- as MyMiniFactory designer Cemal Çetinkaya has just proved. He has come up with two 3D printed meso-materials, called FLEX 1 and FLEX 2, that can create strong, flexible products. One design featuring his meso-materials is a bracelet available on MyMiniFactory, and it can be customized to fit any wearer's wrist.
