Upgraded nozzle fans for pla wiring help

Ok so I bought a fan kit to attach to the nozzle area to cool things down for pla.http://www.go-3dprint.com/product/3d...ot-replicator/has anyone installed one of these? how do I wire it and to where on the mb or power supply.?

well you need a 24volt fan (we'll get into why you bought this in a bit lol)
I wired mine into the same socket as the onboard motherboard fan. Just used some thin wire stripped from a pc and ran it up the right nozzle tube with some duct tape for fixing.

What most of us do is print this ourselves and buy a 40mm 24volt pc fan from amazon for about $5.

Extremely effective, just clips in and out and total cost about £4

You've got a 3d printer - you shouldn't be buying bits of plastic that you can make anymore :-)



Abopve is where I wired my fan in. next time I mess with it I'll add a simple wire coupler just above the printhead, so i can easily change fans. At the moment I've just got the wires twisted together and taped.
