Anyone conducted power consumption tests? With $ value?
I've noticed a fairly massive spike in my electricity bill from when I was using the reprap. Was used a few hours everyday - Lets say 1-5 hours a day. For maybe a month or two. Might not have been daily.
Bill went up by something like $200 for a quarterly period.
Unused, dropped down. Looks like it was the reprap which caused it?
My power supply is pretty similar to this:

I'm wanting to know if anyone has done any power consumption testing vs real world costs?
I'm in Australia and electricity are at a premium currently.
I was going to do some tests, then realised I have no idea how!
Thanks!

Wow, I didn't think these consumed that much power. I guess $200 in a quarter isn't too bad for the amount of time you used it, but I would have expected less.

Well you can always buy a Watt meter and search out how much it actualy asks?
I aint sure how much it would consume to be honest.

I might have to grab a watt meter and do some tests.
I'm sure google will teach me how to use the watt meter
If I get around to it, I will post results.

C'mon! It's summer. Have you looked at your usage of fans and air conditioning?

The power spike was not in summer. It was last year sometime. No AC at that time.
But now! AC 24/7! Will need a second job for pay for these past week or two of AC.
