3dsha.re launches - Appstore for 3D printable files
Designers spend their time creating impressive 3D printable objects, often for no financial benefit on their part. A new website launching today hopes to add monetary incentive to spur designers' productivity -- all while remaining at a low enough cost that users won't face too much strain in choosing to purchase designs. At 99 cents per download, the new London-based website 3DShare provides 70 cents of each download directly to the designer. The 3dsha.re website's new Appstore for 3D files is a "reddit-like" approach to the platform, complete with an "Anything Goes" section for more offbeat designs. 3DShare is looking now to collaborate and form partnerships with well-known designers, and has been in talks with 3D Hubs and i.materialise. Find out more about this inventive new platform in the full article: http://3dprint.com/44881/3dshare-launches-app-store/

I think this is a great idea. I've signed up and will probably move some of my files over from Shapeways. Come to think of it, i'll probably keep them in both locations, unless exclusivity has benefits. Have to check that.
Thanks Eddie
Edit: Was just notified of my $5 credit. Bonus time
