3D Printed Robotic Tentacle
Dutch electronics engineer Mark Valentijn has recently become an enthusiastic maker, building enthusiasm for 3D printing. With his Robo3D R1 3D printer, Valentijn recently created an inventive animatronic tentacle, inspired by hexapod robotics and YouTube videos featuring animatronics and gyroschopes. While his animatronic tentacle eye mechanism may appear to be inspired by male genitalia, it is really an impressive, intuitive design featuring multiple movable joints and an eye mechanism. The design is available free for download on Thingiverse. Check out more background on this unique project in the full article: http://3dprint.com/43688/3d-printed-animatronics/
