It was how I learned what supports were used for.

Ooooooohhhh Another FAIL turned win. I've been lucky that I've either caught major fails early enough to minimize material loss, or have had only small total failures, but have learned from them and corrected.

For example, on the Davinci, printing narrow tall objects, like spires, or Rose Stems for the girl you're seeing (for now), I've learned I have to encompass the entire object in a full height skirt (think caisson), to give the ABS time to cool enough to stick.

Well, I went to print a rose, and the stem (I DON'T HAVE GREEN, BACK OFF! :P ). I figured it might be thick enough to get away without the caisson. NOPE. but the Fail turned win when it wound itself around the stem. Gives it a weird organic HR Gigerish look to the stem, so I went with it.
