Xavier University Opens MakerBot 3D Printing Center
Xavier University is in the news not only with their progressive new Innovative Station, but also with their new fleet of thirty-one 3D printers which will make up their MakerBot 3D Printing Center, which became a reality after staff visited 2015 International CES. The 3D printers will be a boon to not only the Innovation Center but also a new major at the university, the Human-Centered Making major. Check out more about this innovative initiative in the full article: http://3dprint.com/42059/xavier-make...dprint-center/
Do you think that other colleges and universities will follow suit adopting Makerbot 3D printers in bulk for 3D printing centers? Below is a photo of some of Xavier's Innovation team hard at work followed by a picture of the MakerBot 3D printing center:

Inspire them to do what? What a complete waste of money. This seem more like a bunch of liberal educators who don't have the first clue about 3D printers just waking up one day and saying, "Hey that sounds like a good idea".

Oh my ! 31 5th Gen printers ? They'll be closing that "printing center" down soon as there won't be much printing going on.
