3D Printed Sugar - Edible
Today I came across some pretty astonishing 3D Printed objects. These are 3D Printed Sugar structures. They are being used as wedding cake toppings, as well as smaller toppings on cupcakes, and are 100% sugar, meaning they are edible! These 3D Printed objects were created by a company call The Sugar Lab. First I will start out with a video from a TedX which shows this technology at work. Followed by the video will be a close up of one of their sugar printings:

That company was bought up by 3D Systems back in September.

It's really crazy what 3D systems is doing. They are going all in on 3D Printing. Giving very little room to competition besides perhaps Stratasys.
