rambo skipping steps?
how can i tell if my stepper is missing steps
this is my current setting for the rambo firmware for the pots
#define DIGIPOT_MOTOR_CURRENT {100,100,100,100,100}
should these be 135?

One thing you could do is apply some pressure against the movement of either the Y-bed, the X-carriage, the Z-rods, or against the large gear on the extruder. If the movement stops pretty easy with the added pressure, there's a reasonable chance you could be skipping. If it takes a quite a bit of pressure before the movement stops, you've got some margin and the current settings are likely OK.
EDIT: I have snippets of gcode in http://3dprintboard.com/showthread.p...-MakerFarm-i3v that swing movements back and forth for testing stuff like this without using up any filament.
