Wanted: An Illustrated Dictionary of 3D Printing Terms
We are about to blast off into another year of 3D printing. There will be new machines; new printing materials and new objects to print. However, we are learning a new technology which requires us to familiarise ourselves with a multitude of new technical terms that have not existed in our vocabularies before. A poor technical vocabulary will lead to failures in mastering this new technology. In order to learn this new vocabulary, we need an illustrated dictionary in which terms are described in words and pictures.
Can you help to create an Illustrated Dictionary by submitting a definition of a 3D printing term along with a simple diagram that illustrates your definition?

Perhaps we could make this (http://3dprintboard.com/showthread.p...D-Printing-FAQ) a FAQ and Dictionary. What do you think? I could add editors for it.

Yep. That would be good. Just expand the sticky heading to include "Dictionary of Terms"

Eddie,
You could probably add a MediaWiki install here pretty easily.

Hmm I could, but honestly I prefer to keep everything in the forum format. Makes things easier to find and search for.

I've edited the title. Please let me know if you are interested in being an editor.
