Incredible 3D Weaving Machine
Two enterprising design students at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco, Evan Bowman and Ryan Chen, designed and constructed a 3D weaving machine that works much like a 3D printing, producing up to five-feet-tall super-lightweight, fibrous, woven structures. The ingenious, 7-foot-tall “Space Weaver” prints using fiberglass and carbon fiber and an epoxy that gives the end products rigidity. Check out more details about their process and results over in the full article: http://3dprint.com/31284/space-weaver-3d-machine/
