Mentioned it in another post, but since my proprietary slicer won't let me set options for the raft (it's either raft or no raft), and then I can't get the raft off the part, hence it becomes the first layer or two, I never use them. If anything I'll float the object a few mill off the printbed and use a thick support structure to form a pseudo raft.

Try printing in PET... much less warp, so rarely needs a raft.

I'm too impatient for a raft, which has probably cost me more time than it has saved in reprints. I've only used it a few times when I ran into problems with warping or adhesion. I was using hairspray or gluestick and kept losing the part. I've since been using ABS/acetone slurry and a small brim to get good adhesion - haven't needed to use a raft for a while.
