3D Printing a Mass Manufactured Component - Nighthawk Headphones Grill
Headphones aren't a new idea, and it seems like it would really take something special to convince us there's anything unique about a certain design. AudioQuest, though, has just introduced a new design for headphones that really enhance the entire listening experience. The NightHawk headphones contain, among other impressive design features, a 3D printed latticework component made by Sculpteo that enhances the sound quality coming through the lightweight, highly designer-looking headphones. While the NightHawk headphones won't be available until 2015, they've already started winning awards, starting with a 2015 CES Innovation Award for Best of Innovations (Eco-Design and Sustainable Technologies).
