3Dealise Uses ExOne Giant Sand Printer to Fabricate Mold for Enormous Prototype
Manufacturing will begin changing as more and more 3D printing / additive manufacturing options become available to large companies. 3Dealise has just proven that 3D Sand Printing is a great alternative to creating molds for prototypes, by using an ExOne S-Max 3D printer to create a giant mold of an object, using specialized silica sand. Do you guys think that this is how many of the prototypes and final products in the future will be made? Read and see more on this at: http://3dprint.com/24370/3dealises-3d-sand-printer/
Below is the pump mold that they created thanks to 3D printing

This is tremendous technology but Brian please be careful with your superlative claims. The S-Max is not the "world's largest sand printer." Voxeljet's VX4000 has a 4000x2000x1000 mm build volume.
