Zmorph Updates Voxelizer - Model in Voxels rather than Triangles
Today, Zmorph has announced the release of Voxelizer 1.0 which allows people to model using individual 3D pixels (voxels). They expect that this will help tremendous in the creating of medical models on affordable 3D printers based on RepRaps. The software is quite interesting. Has anyone tried it yet? Do you guys think this will catch on at all?

I haven't tried Voxelizer, but I've been modeling in voxels for years now, using the Sensable (now Geomagic) haptic system. I really like it, and it has definite advantages over traditional polygon mesh modeling (although one typically converts to triangulated polygon meshes for output as STL). There's supposed to be a new version of the 3DS haptic (force-feedback) modeling system coming out soon, at a much lower price - I'll keep you posted.
