3D Pandoras, Powder Based, Full Color 3D Printer
Seems like we may be back in the swing of things in terms of new 3D printers launching almost daily. A New printer called the 3D Pandoras has launched a Kickstarter campaign, and it certainly looks interesting. The new printer uses a powder, a binding agent, and curing agent to print in full color. The machine stands a staggering 5.5 feet tall, and weighs over 150 pounds. Incredibly they are offering the first 30 backers this machine at just $3000. Is this economically feasible? More details on how the printer works can be found here: http://3dprint.com/14838/3d-pandoras-kickstarter
Below are some basic specs for the 3D Pandoras printer:
- Build Envelope: 300 x 292 x 140mm
- Print Resolution: 9600 x 2400dpi
- Prototyping: 10mm / hr
- Printer Size: 100 x 80 x 170cm
- Printer Weight: 70kg (154 lbs)

The printer looks good but they should have more pictures of prints and list how much their material will cost for this machine.
I'm worried 3d system is going to file a patent suite on them with their color printer.
Printer will print perfect...
