How to make a quick effective cover/hood for makerbot clone type printers
Just made windows, hood, etc for my printer. Turned out really well with nothing more than some laminate sheets, cello tape and some button magnets.
thought it might be useful inspiration for others.

Very neat indeed.
So what sort of music do you make ?
Lots of mikes, guitars etc in your workshop :-)
Does the hood make a significant difference ?
I've actually found that abs warps a lot less (well no warpage at all so far) by simply running the printbed at 100c and not 110.
I actually set the temp to 110 - but the 3mm aluminium top plate only gets to 100. And nothing's warped since. I did do one print at 120 (so 110 for actual print surface) and that warped a bit. Exact same print at 100 - no warp.
