3D Scanning Drones, Mobile Robots, and Conveyor Systems on their Ways From CultLab3D
3D Scanning technology has progressed rapidly along with its 3D printing counterpart. Currently the technology is being used in anything from medical applications to a means of museums backing up their physical artifacts virtually. One company called Cultlab3D is trying to take all this a step further by producing high speed 3D scanners. They have three main areas they are working on. The first scanning system uses a conveyer belt and 2 arcs of light and cameras to quickly scan smaller objects, while they are also working on mobile robotic scanners and drone scanners for collecting imaging data from things as large as buildings. More details on this Cultlab3D's incredible work can be found here: http://3dprint.com/12758/high-speed-3d-scan-drones
