    need a dehumidifier

I bought 1 on Amazon that I assume is designed to bring humidity down to human comfort level. Can anyone tell me about dehumidifiers that are programmed to bring it farther down? my house air is soaking wet and after 3 hours out of my dryer the filament starts printing lower quality parts. I put it back in the dryer overnight and in the morning.... great parts again. I just got this dehumidifier yesterday so I haven't really experimented with it's effect on the prints yet, but I imagine if there are dehumidifiers available that bring the room down to 30% it'd be better. it's a small room with a door that I can close, so I don't need to be drying a huge space.... i just want the small space as dry as possible. I'm printing TPU 85A parts, and that stuff soaks up water like crazy. I tried having it feed out of the dryer box into the extruder while printing, and could not get smooth feed like my prints had skipped/defective layers. Would love some feedback on all this! I'm in Kansas City and it's just a humid part of the country but the thing I'm making has to be soft filament. If a better drying box that can feed while printing is the answer, someone please show me some opinions to consider. I'm using a Bambu A1 printer.Sorry I know this post isn't the most organized and thankyou for feedback!

the pieces I need to print will have the filament moving pretty consistently over a 10-12 hour cycles, so if someone can recommend a dryer box that it will feed reliably out of while printing, that'd probably be a good option. i just have no idea what box to use.

Comgrow 3D Printer Filament Dryer Box, Comgrow 3D Filament Storages, Keeping Filaments Dry During 3D Printing, Compatible with 1.75mm/2.85mm PLA ABS Material, Filament Dehydrator, Spool Holder

That's the box I have right now that can't feed it smoothly enough. would appreciate any recommendations on one that can

    Sovol SH01 Filament Dryer

I purchased a Sovol SH01 Filament Dryer before my Anycubic Kobra 3 Combo purchase worked great
Now My ACE 4 filament dispenser with built in dehydrator does this job.

does the Sovol SH01 system feed TPU reliably into the printer your using? cause I already have the A1 so i need something that will feed into it while printing. The built in style with the A1 rolls my filament on an axle, while my dryer rolls on the circumference of the spool. i was wondering about printing an axle adaptor to use with my box. any thoughts on that? the box is less than half an inch away from the spool hitting the top of the inside which is kinda limiting for my adaptor idea. does the Sovol SH01 roll the filament on an axle or on the circumference? i think with as soft as TPU is I need something that either rolls it on an axle or rolls the circumference on super good ball bearings cause it's failed many times. the PLA it works totally fine, but that stuff absorbs water 10 times slower than the TPU

Sorry the Sovol SH01 Filament Dryer with capably of drying two rolls of filament at once.
It has 4 portal holes for filament with no ability of moving filament.

I use plastic storage containers with locking clamps.
At you nearest dollar store they have Moisture Eliminator or Moisture Eliminator with Charcoal I place one of these in each storage container.
about every 3-6 months you will need to replace when you see water in bottom of the Moisture Eliminator container.
I have rolls of filament that are several years old and still as good as the day I purchased them...

I can store 10 rolls in a single storage container and still fit the Moisture Eliminator or Moisture Eliminator with Charcoal easily.

ok I feel like people are missing the point. my PLA feeds from the box while printing fine. the TPU is what I'm having trouble with. People seem to be missing the TPU factor in my issue. Just because your box feeds PLA fine does not mean 85A TPU will feed. And even when i did try having the spool in a zipped up bag with a desiccant in there, it still gets wet because if that bag is not air right around where the filament dispenses from, moisture is getting in. I need someone who uses a dryer box with 85A TPU while printing to chime in. If your just saying oh my box works because I use it with PLA, that is not helpful.

Can anyone who prints with soft filament post in here about a box or setup they have printing with this soft filament? I have tried having the spool in a bag with a desiccant while printing. I might get 6 hours of print time before it starts stringing.

I can't believe I am having this much trouble finding anyone who knows anything on this subject. if you don't have a dryer box that feeds 85A TPU while printing, or a dehumidifier that keeps the room bone dry, your input is probably not relevant Sorry to be a jerk, but boxes that work with PLA don't do anything for my issue.

I have no experience with TPU, however it is known for the prblems you describe. Please remember that anyone who replies does so entirely voluntarily and is only trying to help..... quote....."your input is probably not relevant Sorry to be a jerk, but boxes that work with PLA don't do anything for my issue"...... Suggest you look at the new Bambu filament dryer. It might be the answer you need. https://uk.store.bambulab.com/products/ams-ht
