Just a quick update. I thought I was almost done and printing the last piece.
But I just realized one of my leg models was messed up. When I was moving the pieces around for the posing I shifted one of the parts out of place. The bad part is its a 21 hour print.
Second, as I was playing with one of the pewpews I may have kind of broke it in half. I super glued it but still wiggly so have to reprint. An 8 -9 hour print.
So about half way there. The final model will be around 17 inches tall.

Have to reprint my pewpews again. My fault for the last couple of prints for the pewpews.
Here are my failed or rejected prints.
I am hoping I can start gluing the model together tomorrow. So in a day or two I hope I can post a picture of the final model.

Glue is drying.
I made so many mistakes on this project its not even funny, but I guess expected for a new design and model and me being a newbie at 3d printing. I know I have said it before but 3d printing modeling and cnc pattern modeling are not the same thing. If I ever do something like this again I definitely need registration keys and maybe some articulated ball and socket joints.
But at the end of the day really happy with the print and model. It is right at 17 inches tall.
What do you'all think?

What a journey. This took way longer than it should of and the model has a ton of errors in many different ways but very happy with it being my first mech design for 3d printing.
I thought I was going to hate painting it but turned out a lot of fun.

A gift for my brother. The model is about 10 1/2 inches tall and took about 42 hours to print. I am starting painting today with the base coat. fun fun.
He will be holding a football at the end.

Discovered TPU filament and made the mistake to letting my wife about it who does mixed media art. She asked if I could make some ink stamps for her. So here is the first batch. More not quite as useless prints.
