3D Printed Model of Futuristic City Concept
This is a recent project we worked on. I especially liked it because of the detail and we used three different 3D printers to create the model. We used the Projet 660, Connex 500, and Projet 3500.
Model was designed by Kelly Root.
If you're interested, exact model specs can be found here.

Chris I'm curious, was this a commissioned project or did you guys just do this for fun/business purposes?
It looks awesome by the way!

How many pieces were printed? This isn't one print is it?
Also what about the colors? Is it printed in color or did you paint/dye them?

It was printed in 38 pieces and then assembled. The Projet 660 prints in full-color. The pieces from the Connex 500 in this build are white and black. The Projet 3500 does a translucent material. We didn't paint anything.

This was a project we did to display in our booth at a 3D printing expo to demonstrate the capabilities of 3D printing and how different materials/printers can be combined to create the desired results. It was also on display at a local Comic Con and will be on display at the American Institute of Architects Convention in June.
Thanks for the compliment.
