MonoPrice Dual Extrusion 3D Printer
Monoprice, a California based discount electronics company, today announced the launch of the MonoPrice Dual Extrusion 3D Printer. The printer will cost just $1199, and feature two extruder heads, meaning that printing with multiple colors is possible. The company claims that this is the cheapest dual extrusion printer on the market. Here are some basic specs for MonoPrice's new machine:

Hm... looks to be just another Makerbot 2X clone. I like Monoprice though, for their cheap cables / mounts, but this isn't the cheapest dual extrusion printer.

No, it is not the cheapest, but this one looks better built than the cheaper ones. Going too cheap in 3D printer world can seriously ruin your weekend or even month, where spending a bit more would have been better.
But it's very hard to tell from limited photos. I'm intrigued, but not sure if I want to be the guinea pig for this one.Last edited by JRDM; 05-15-2014 at 05:35 PM.
