Cleaning the bed
Besides alcohol, being in short supply, what's good to use for cleaning the bed.
I have an Ender 3pro. I have acetone but I understand that will melt the bed.

Cheapest possible window cleaner you can get. That way there is not other chemicals that could render cleaning useless.

We have Dawn, which is what we use for most things. A little white vinegar. I'll give that a try. It works on astronomy equipment and windows, so it should be ok.
I'll report back.

I have a cleaner. My Wife.
This isn't a business environment.
I tried the Distilled water, vinegar, Dawn mix. Then rinsed with distilled water.
I ended up putting my new surface on. I'll try again.

what is the surface ?
And what kind of dirt do you have ?
I find that mostly I just wipe the dust off :-) And occasionally leaves that blow through the windows facing the printers.
For everything else a quick wipe with a sheet of kitchen paper dampened with acetone is all I've ever used.
Given how fast it evaporates and how little you need - it's just not there long enough to damage even a susceptible print surface.
Not sure how a print bed can get really greasy or dirty ?
What are you guys doing to them ?

The only time I use anything other than a quick wipe with Acetone is on surfaces which I have used glue stick which when they get scruffy I put a drop of washing up liquide on the surface and wash off under a tap with water, dry, then wipe over with IsoPropyl Alcohol

Umm, ok.
I've settled on a quick wipe with a towel lightly dampened with Acetone.
It also helps to keep your fingers off the bed. Skin oils can affect bonding to the bed.
