Initial Layer Too High
I recently installed a BLTouch auto bed level sensor into my Printer. I set up the firmware (listed later) and made sure it was all connected properly and working. I set the proper probe z offset (digital calipers used to measure, and tested the offset with G1 F60 Z0 gcode command and the classic paper test) and I was ready to make my first print.
I sliced a simple bed level with the same settings I have used on this printer before the BLTouch was installed. The first layer starts at 0.2 mm above z0. This is displayed on the LCD screen and yet it is very far from the bed. I'm not sure how to fix this, any ideas would help.
Printer Information
Printer: Creality Ender 3
Motherboard: SKR mini e3 V2
Firmware: https://github.com/bigtreetech/BIGTR.../firmware/V2.0 firmware-bltouch-for-z-homing.bin (No adjustments other than offsets)
STL File: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2187071
Attached is a screenshot showing my offset being set, might help?Last edited by cimball; 01-19-2021 at 06:46 PM.
