3D printed wood filament chess set (from thingivers

Finally finished this project, was going to be for a coworker but he decided he really didn't want a chess set so I am giving it as a birthday gift to a family member. eSun wood filament (my least favorite filament so far)

    looks good :-)

But kind of conventional chss men.

Surely the 3d printed aspect would have given you the scope for something a bit more adventurous ?

The person who had made the original request specifically wanted the standard traditional type chess set.. I actually prefer the classic look myself, even though I do not play.

Yes, this is the link to the design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:957958 Board base is PLA and the tiles are all the wood filament. Also made jigs for sanding the tiles and a pin cutter to cut all the tiny filament pins.. Also made the box out of good old wood scraps.. :-)
