Printed and Painted
A rainy day outside but a productive day, the T800 head printed in 6 hours, painting took about 10 minutes. The Knight figurine, she took 80 minutes to print but 4 hours to paint
The T800 can be found here, done by a great guy... http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:290357

All hand brushed ( I don't own an airbrush, I wish I did... :/) I used 1 paint brush and several paints, the only non-acrylic was the silver gloss on the shoulders.
Ill attach a picture with the general steps, I always matte black, then flesh the highlights out then it's a matter of figuring out what colours to use, as you are not going off a reference image, which I guess is the fun of painting printed parts that have never been painted before by anyone.

Geoff, That's a real nice job. What type of filament were you printing with? Do you think the paint used on model cars would bond nicely to the surface of the 3D prints ?

It's really good to see painted items, and so well done. Please continue to post what you are doing in the future, I would like to see more.
Printer will print perfect...
