Artillary Sidewinder X1
Just replaced my antique Makerbot Replicator 1 with an Artillary Sidewinder X1. First thoughts:
- Assembly was pretty easy. Took a couple tries to get the ribbon cables in their sockets right.
- QUIET! When people say this thing is quiet, believe them!
- I've heard it's hard to get to know the "Repetier" program, but a quick tutorial I found on line got it going for me.
Seems the longest part of a small print is waiting for the bed to cool down and release the part.

I too am inpatient.
I hit prints with a small rubber hammer I made. Or the back of a viking axe I printed.
I find a sharp tap will often release a print before the bed is cooled.
Different machines but similiar printing surface.
