i3 mega x-axis extremely rattling, vibrating - no printing possible
Hi there,
i?ve just got my anycubic i3 mega, assembled it - everything felt fine. Then i started the first test print and paused it after 30 seconds because when the x axis is moving it extremely "rattles", the black strap moving the x axis and the whole extruder head is extremely vibrating. Because of the vibration, printing results are horrible.
Sounds like somethings completely wrong but i certainly have no idea :frowning:
Hope somebody maybe does have an idea about how to fix this.
It sounds really crazy and if i look into the bearing of the stepper x axis it's extremely skipping. Sounds like too much energy is given into that movement or so.
Would love to get some tipps from you!
Best,
Paul

how tight is the belt - the black strappy thing.
Sounds like it's not engaging properly with the hobbed gear bolt on the motor.

Something might be dragging/binding if your rods and/or lead screws aren't parallel to each other or something isn't completely square. Try measuring various points on the printer that should be parallel and make sure they all are an equal distance apart. Use calipers if you have them.
