3D Printed Electric Motorcycle - 2015 Energica Ego
All sorts of technology seem to be converging to bring forward some pretty crazy futuristic products. Take for example the 2015 Energica Ego 100% electric motorcycle. The motorcycle will sell for approximately $25,000, and has numerous major parts which are the product of 3d printing. The 2015 Energica Ego will get approximately 120 miles per charge, and be able to hit a top speed of 150 mph.
A large portion of the bike is 3d printed with carbon reinforced polyamide material, which is stress, water and oil resistant. The headlights, fairings and several other components are created with the latest 3d printing technology and place directly on the bike. These are not just prototype part but actual parts that the finished bike will have.
Check out the video of this bike:

Well, at least with a motorbike, the whole "save your life in a crash" thing doesn't really apply so this would be pretty cool, more feasible than a 3d printed cat that's for sure.

The even cooler thing here is that the materials were created by the CEO, Cevolini. The motorcycle was part of the awesome 3D printed products in CES, by the way!
